Hello

My name is Michael Kassouf. I started at SMT in 2023 as president. Prior to becoming president, my trading career began at BIFP in 1996. I am originally from Birmingham, AL and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

What year did you start at SMT? 2023

What is your favorite thing about the company? The people at SMT make it a fun and a welcoming place to work, a true family atmosphere!

What are some fun facts about yourself? I have a piece of literature published in a book. I make a mean Barbeque Sauce! My heritage is 100% Lebanese.

Two truths and a lie. My parents had a family business of an earthworm farm that I worked at through high school and college. I’ve only broken one bone in my entire body. My cat went through a cycle of the washing machine.

Do you have any pets? 2 dogs (Mielow & Najee) & 2 cats (Spike & Nala)

Where have you traveled? Italy is the most exotic place I’ve been. But not the last.

What are some things you love? God and my family: Kelly, Brandon, and Andrew. Alabama Football. And Kelly’s whole family too! I love nature and traveling with Kelly. And I love to people watch. Best entertainment ever!
